Product Description

GE HYDRAN-M2

GE HYDRAN M2 is a high-precision transformer online monitoring system launched by General Electric (GE). It is specifically designed to monitor dissolved gases (such as hydrogen, carbon monoxide, ethylene, acetylene, etc.) and moisture content in transformer oil in real-time, so as to evaluate the transformer status and prevent potential faults. Equipped with advanced sensor technology, this device enables multi-parameter monitoring and is widely used in power, industrial, petrochemical and other fields, aiming to improve equipment reliability, extend service life and reduce maintenance costs.

Parameters

100-240V AC or 24V DC (some models support 24-250V DC/AC).

50-60Hz.

Supports protocols such as Modbus RTUModbus TCPDNP3.0IEC 61850RS-485, and Ethernet.

-40°C to +85°C (some models support -40°C to 70°C).

IP66 or IP67 (some models are IP65).

Dimensions and Weight

Dimensions vary by model (e.g., 482mm x 366mm x 229mm or 233mm x 167mm x 64mm). The weight ranges from 1.5kg to 20kg (0.5kg for single-gas models and 1.5kg for multi-gas models).

Measurement Parameters

Hydrogen, ethylene, ethane, methane, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, oxygen, moisture (%RH and ppm).

GE HYDRAN M2

Product Features

High-Precision Measurement

Adopting advanced sensor technology, the measurement accuracy reaches ±2%FS or ±10% (depending on the type of gas).

Multi-Gas Monitoring

It can monitor multiple gas components simultaneously (such as H₂C₂H₄C₂H₂CH₄CO, etc.), providing a comprehensive assessment of the transformer status.

Early Fault Warning

By analyzing changes in gas concentration and moisture content, potential faults such as partial discharge, overheating, and arcing can be detected in a timely manner.

Modular Design

Supports expansion of input/output cards (up to 4), facilitating flexible configuration.

Multiple Communication Methods

Supports protocols such as RS485, Ethernet, and Modbus, making it easy to integrate with upper computer systems.

Robust and Durable

High protection rating (IP66/67) and wide temperature operating range, adapting to harsh environments.

Structure and Composition

Core Components

  • Sensor module: Includes capacitive electrodes and thermal conductivity sensors for measuring gases and moisture in oil.
  • Data acquisition unit: Collects parameters such as temperature, humidity, and gas concentration in real-time.
  • Communication module: Supports multiple protocols (such as Modbus RTU/TCPIEC 61850).

Installation Methods

Wall-mounted or directly installed on the transformer tank, with customizable cable length (5 meters or longer).

Application Fields

Power Industry

Status monitoring of transformers in power plants, power transmission and distribution systems, and substations.

Industrial Field

Online monitoring of equipment such as industrial transformers, oil coolers, and lubrication systems.

Special Environments

High-temperature, high-humidity, and high-corrosion environments (such as petrochemical and metallurgical industries).

Other Fields

Vibration monitoring of rotating machinery such as pumps, compressors, and fans (some models).

Installation and Maintenance

Installation Methods

  • Wall-mounted: Suitable for scenarios with limited space.
  • Tank installation: Directly embedded in the transformer tank to achieve continuous monitoring.

Maintenance Requirements

  • Regular calibration: It is recommended to calibrate the sensor every 6-12 months to ensure accuracy.
  • Cleaning and inspection: Regularly check the sensor probe and connecting parts to prevent oil contamination or blockage.
  • Remote monitoring: Connect to the SCADA system through Modbus or Ethernet interface to realize remote data management and alarm.
