How the Board Works
The ECTB receives contact signals from external equipment through its input circuits. Six auxiliary inputs use board-provided 70 VDC excitation to monitor designated contacts, including generator status and lockout signals.
The board also provides four general-purpose Form-C relay outputs and two trip contact outputs. The associated EMIO board manages the general-purpose relays and monitors relevant auxiliary contact status. In a redundant configuration, the ECTB receives power through the designated M1 and M2 supplies.

Industrial Applications
This board supports contact-based control and monitoring in gas and steam turbine generator systems. It can interface with generator online status, lockout circuits, excitation-related relay commands, and other configured contact signals.
Its main contribution is to connect external electrical status and control circuits with the excitation system's logic and protection functions.

Maintenance Recommendations
Inspect wiring, connectors, and relay circuits during scheduled maintenance. If an input state or relay output behaves unexpectedly, check the field contact, 70 VDC excitation, associated EMIO interface, and redundant power connections.
